When you paste an expression that has a question mark, whatever was selected is saved and replaces the first question mark.

When you save as an EPS file, this will cause a bitmap of the equation to be attached so that when you place it in Macintosh DTP programs, it shows up on the screen. Turning it off will generate a simple text file with EPS in it.
For Edit Graphic Object editing: closes a graphic object, sending it back to the word processor, as soon as you click on the word processor window, so you don’t have to find the Close box every time.
